Tom Petty M.D.

01.02.10

It is with great sadness that we recognize the passing of one of the pioneering pulmonary physicians, and one of our friends, Thomas Petty MD. Dr Petty passed away over the holidays after a long illness.

Tom inspired many who worked with chronic pulmonary disease patients, and was instrumental in the development of many of the guidelines our company uses with COPD patients. I know he enjoyed our success in establishing NLHEP based clinics, and the numbers of patients / physicians we assist with the early utilization of spirometry.

He will be missed by the profession, and by us at LMW Inc. He leaves a lasting legacy.

LMW Inc presents data to NIH Committee

07.06.09

A team from LMW Inc. presented program data at a 2 day Meeting with the National Instiute of Health in Washington DC. The Committee was comprised of NIH and Health & Human Services members evaluating "Programs that Work" to help meet the goals in new health care reform.

After a full day of presentations and discussions, day two was spent evaluating the impact our programs could have in asthmacare nationally. We have agreed to jointly develop a demonstration "pilot" project, which would be provided at NIH designated locations to evaluate our effectiveness with specific populations.

"As a provider, it is important to be proactively involved with any goverment health care reform" stated Larry Westby "We welcome the challange of providing quality care to medically underserved populations and feel this will allow us to evaluate the costs associated with regional or national programs."

We anticipate a 90 days joint development period prior to center start ups. More to follow on this project as we move forward.

Board of Directors Approves Dividend

03.02.09

The Board of Directors have authorized a dividend of $7.00 / share to be paid May 1, 2009.

"Our discussions revolved around the need to hold cash for operations in a very challenging environment" stated Larry Westby, president "We reserve the right to revisit the issue in the fall, based on continued success in this economy".

"Further information will follow in our annual report, however we wanted to get money back into the hands of our investors, as we have it available outside of our operational needs. We will need to maintain an increased operational reserve, to provide us flexibility moving forward. Very few companies are able to provide investors a return at this time, but we are all in agreement that we remain committed to returning dollars to investors which do not put us at risk."

"I want to stress that we are feeling the strains of the current economy with an extended AR, and the transition from building centers, to operating them profitably until the acquisition market is revitalized. We are, to a degree reaping the benefits of having rapidly built our network in the past 3 year period."said Westby " that growth would not be possible today.  Our emphasis now shifts from growth to profitable operations"

In other news; the Board appreciated the efforts which resulted in the on time /  on budget relaunch of our web site, and approved the mid / late March release of the 2008 Annual Report.

The Center For Pharmeceutical Economics has recognized the LMW Inc asthma treatment program  as a 'Program That Works" for 2008.  This was based on analysis of outcome data from 600 patients with moderate persistant asthma treated in the primary physician office utilizing the LMW Inc treatment model.
